California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents. It describes the categories of personal information we handle and the rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA").

1. Personal information we collect

In the last 12 months we have collected the following categories, as described in our Privacy Policy:

  • Identifiers — name, email address, mailing address, phone number.
  • Commercial information — orders placed, products viewed, saved designs.
  • Financial information — payment information used to process your order.
  • Internet and network activity — browser type, IP address, time zone, cookie data, pages and products viewed, and the site or search terms that referred you.
  • Audio information — recordings of incoming and outgoing customer service calls, which we may review for quality and training.

Sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose that would give rise to a right to limit its use.

Sources: directly from you, automatically from your device as you use the site, and from service providers who help us operate the site and fulfil orders.

Purposes: to process and ship your orders, save and prepare your designs, provide customer service, operate and improve the site, and for marketing and advertising.

2. Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell or share inferences drawn about you.

We do share personal information with advertising partners so that ads we show on other websites are more relevant to you. Under California law, sharing information for cross-context behavioral advertising of this kind may be treated as "sharing" — and in some cases as a "sale" — even where no money changes hands. You have the right to opt out.

To opt out: use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signal for the browser and device you use to visit the site.

Minors. We have no actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

3. Disclosure to third parties

We disclose personal information to service providers who act on our behalf — payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting and analytics providers, and customer service tools — for the purposes described above. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that is not linked to you with business partners and advertisers.

4. Retention

We keep each category of personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for. In practice that means:

  • Order and design information — for as long as needed to fulfil your order, to support reorders and reprints, and to keep the business, tax and accounting records we are required to keep.
  • Contact information — for as long as you have an account with us or we have an active relationship, and thereafter as needed for the record-keeping purposes above.
  • Marketing information — until you unsubscribe, opt out, or ask us to delete it.
  • Call recordings — for the period needed for quality assurance and training.
  • Device and browsing information — for the period needed to operate, secure and measure the site.

Where we no longer have a purpose for a category of information, we delete it or de-identify it. You may ask us to delete personal information at any time, as described below.

5. Your rights

  • Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, the sources, the purposes, and the parties we disclose it to.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out — opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in section 2.
  • Right to limit — where sensitive personal information is used beyond permitted purposes, request that we limit that use.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised these rights.

6. How to submit a request

Verification. To protect your information we will ask you to verify your identity before we act on a request to know, delete or correct. We generally do this by matching the details you give us against information already in our records, such as the email address or order details associated with your account.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of your written permission and may still ask you to verify your own identity directly.

Timing. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time we will tell you, and may extend by a further 45 days.
